AUSTRALIA heads to the polls on Saturday and if opinion polls are to be believed it is going to be a very close result.

Over the past eight weeks, the LNP, Labor, the Greens and other minor parties and independents have all promised many different things.

But now it is important to read up about the policies parties have and read about how they will affect you.

What does jobs and growth mean? How does that compare to the health and educated message spruiked by the other side?

Take part in online tests which show where you sit compared to the parties, you could be surprised... I know I was.

But most importantly, research which polling booth will be selling a sausage, because come on, it’s not democracy without a sausage.
