Lindsay has packaging all wrapped up

Central and North Burnett Times - - THE FENCE POST - Tobi Loftus Tobi.Lof

LOCAL citrus growers are very happy with the new packaging services offered by Lindsay Rural.

Ironbark Citrus operations manager Johan Simon said Lindsay Rural now supplied all the materials used in their packing shed.

“The quality is really good and I find the services exceptional,” Mr Simon said.

“We’ve been customers for quite a long time, with the cardboard and that’s been a longstanding relationship.

“In more recent times, we’ve picked up the other side of the business, with the tapes and the glues and the things like that.

“We’re extremely happy with it all.”

Lindsay Rural Mundubbera sales representative Graham Meredith said the company was a one-stop shop for packaging needs.

“We’ve got buckles, strapping, all your tapes, machine tapes, pallet tapes, sticky tapes and net wrapping,” Mr Meredith said. “We’re local and we’ve got it all here, customers don’t have to order it in.

“One phone call and it’s there, that’s it.”

Mr Simon said the one-stop shop nature of the service provided saves him time and money.

“For an operations manager it saves me dealing with four or five companies, so it is easier,” he said.

“It’s time saving and money saving too.

“The purchasing power of Lindsay’s is quite a bit larger than Ironbark on its own.

“Just the buying power of their group makes it advantageous to us.”

Mr Simon said he would recommend packaging services Lindsay Rural provided to other companies.

“I have done so already actually,” he said.
