THERE will be some excited Year 3 and 4 students in Mount Perry when school is back next week because their teacher is the 2015 Burnett Miss Showgirl.

Kristin Carroll took the honour in Eidsvold at the weekend, and cannot wait to proceed to the next stage.

“I think there’ll be a few who will be very excited, and a few that won’t understand the process or what has happened,” she said.

“It’s such a good thing to see so many contestants.

“Based on what was said, it sounds like all the show committees are heading in the right direction.”

The 23-year-old has only lived in the Mount Perry for the past 18 months. “I’ve been going to the Ekka my whole life but it will be a totally difference experience this year,” she said.

“The journey has really opened my eyes to the kind of impact I can have.”
