Monto man caught driving unlicensed
“MR BLIGH, do you realise you are going to lose your licence for a minimum of two years?”
Those were the first words that came out of Magistrate Melanie Ho’s mouth when Cohen Courtney Bligh came before her at Monto Magistrates Court on June 29. Bligh came into the hearing charged for driving disqualified, but prosecutor Sergeant Barry Stevens said further investigation showed Mr Bligh’s crime to be less severe.
“He wasn’t in fact disqualified, but was driving unlicensed,” he said. Bligh was previously disqualified from driving for this particular offence in June. He was fined $150.
