Country music coming to Burnett
JULY and August will be a great time for community members in the North Burnett who enjoy county music events.
On July 13, there will be a Patsy Cline and Brenda Lee Tribute Show appearing at the Coalstoun Lakes Hall, supported by the four piece band, the Texas Troubadours. The show will start at 7.30pm, with the entry being $27 including a light meal.
There is a bus available, departing from outside Gayndah Community Hall at 6pm to travel to the show. The cost of the bus is $10 and will arrive in Coalstoun Lakes early enough for travellers, if they wish to visit the Leprechaun Club. Contact the MCDA office to book your seat as the bus is filling fast.
On August 6, the Always ...Patsy Cline musical will appear at the Mundubbera Community Hall at 7pm. This is a completely different show to the Coalstoun Lakes event. This show is being presented by HIT Productions, Australia’s Premier Theatre Touring Company. Entry is $20 per person and attendees are encouraged to bring their own light refreshments. Tickets are available at the MCDA office.
On August 27 the Mundubbera Mature Men’s group have a day bus trip to the Gympie Country Music Muster. Cost is $20 for the bus ticket with all other costs, including entry to the event, the responsibility of the travellers. Bus will depart MCDA at 6am and travel to the muster and depart the muster about 5pm.
