Damage angers residents

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS -

SMASHED pot plants outside a Monto business have caused a stir on social media, with community members expressing their disapproval of the activity.

The pot plants were destroyed on Saturday night, in front of the Monto Tyre Centre with details of the incident being promptly posted to Monto Buy, Swap and Sell Facebook Group.

“I can’t believe how brave someone was to take on a pot plant, bet their mum is so proud,” Sue Fleming said.

“Taking on a pot plant doesn’t make you a hero. Makes you a first class idiot,” Melissa Brown wrote.

Elizabeth Shoecraft simply wrote: “What a sad day for Monto.”

The words definitely prove one thing – the Monto community does not tolerate this behaviour.

Anyone with information on the individual or individuals behind the damage can contact Monto Police.
