Mungungo ready for its cricket day

MUNGUNGO Sports and Recre­ation Club Inc are host­ing their an­nual mid-win­ter cricket week­end to raise funds for Care Life and the Monto Aged Care on Satur­day, Au­gust 20.

A se­ries of friendly seven-a-side matches with the win­ning team to take on The Mighty Mungungo in the fi­nals.

Places still avail­able for teams or sin­gles at a cost of $5 per player. Re­gional Cricket Of­fi­cer for Queens­land Cricket Paul Trace will be attending to have a bit of fun with the kids and will be hand­ing out give­aways.

Come and see the Mad Cows run­ning the Ud­derly De­li­cious Cow­teen at the (MCG) Mungungo Cricket grounds with some won­der­ful prizes to be won in a con­tin­u­ous raf­fle. These in­clude Mooloolaba and Gold Coast hol­i­days, $1000 pres­sure pump, Davey Fire­fighter, esky full of al­co­hol, Aus­tralia Zoo pass, cricket bat and many other vouch­ers and prizes. There will be plenty of grass seat­ing if you wish to bring along your own chairs or blan­kets. Be en­ter­tained Satur­day night by Crankin Jimmy’s and a bar­be­cue din­ner. Bring the fam­ily for a fun day and night with camp­ing avail­able at the grounds.

First game at 8am with fi­nals at 4pm. Bar closes mid­night. Mys­tery auc­tion has great prizes in­clud­ing au­to­graphed cricket bats etc will start at 8pm. There is no EFT­POS so make sure you have cash but cash and cheques will be ac­cepted for auc­tion items.
