Sur­vey to help QFES’ fu­ture

THE fu­ture of emer­gency ser­vices in Queens­land has been opened to feed­back from more than 43,000 vol­un­teers with the launch of the Queens­land Fire and Emer­gency Ser­vices vol­un­teer sur­vey.

The sur­vey is open to all QFES vol­un­teers who wish to of­fer feed­back on cur­rent op­er­a­tions and po­ten­tial ideas for the fu­ture.

Mak­ing the an­nounce­ment Min­is­ter for Fire and Emer­gency Ser­vices Bill Byrne said the aim was for safe and re­silient com­mu­ni­ties and QFES vol­un­teers at the fore­front of this, pro­vid­ing vi­tal com­mu­nity ed­u­ca­tion ac­tiv­i­ties as well as re­spond­ing to emer­gency sit­u­a­tions.

“The vol­un­teer work­force is a cor­ner­stone of the depart­ment, with­out them the emer­gency re­sponse de­liv­ered would not be pos­si­ble.”
