Boynewood cel­e­brates NAIDOC

BOYNEWOOD State School cel­e­brated NAIDOC week on Thurs­day, July 14.

Stu­dents cooked, made school can­vas paint­ings, badges and played in­dige­nous ball games.

They also wrote a story in the style of other Abo­rig­i­nal sto­ries, called How the Tur­tle Got Its Shell.

The school, lo­cated about 10km out of Mun­dub­bera, had to cel­e­brate the event out­side of NAIDOC week due to the week fall­ing in school hol­i­days.
