Hall ready to re­open

WORK on the Gayn­dah Hall floor re­fur­bish­ment is al­most com­plete and the hall will be re­open­ing for use on July 27.

The win­dows of the hall were freed up and cords have been re­placed along with the floor be­ing sanded and pol­ished.

The work was rou­tine main­te­nance af­ter gen­eral wear and tear North Bur­nett Re­gional Coun­cil CEO Mark Pitt said.

“Af­ter a while of wear and tear if the floor isn’t re­newed than things like small nails com­ing loose and catch on peo­ple’s shoes,” Mr Pitt said.

“We like to avoid things like that when we can.”

Mr Pitt said the floor has come up bet­ter than ex­pected and looks for­ward to see­ing the hall re­open for use.

“The floor has come up ab­so­lutely great, very happy with the end re­sult,” Mr Pitt said.

“You’ll be able to dance fan­tas­ti­cally on it.”
