Hall ready to reopen
WORK on the Gayndah Hall floor refurbishment is almost complete and the hall will be reopening for use on July 27.
The windows of the hall were freed up and cords have been replaced along with the floor being sanded and polished.
The work was routine maintenance after general wear and tear North Burnett Regional Council CEO Mark Pitt said.
“After a while of wear and tear if the floor isn’t renewed than things like small nails coming loose and catch on people’s shoes,” Mr Pitt said.
“We like to avoid things like that when we can.”
Mr Pitt said the floor has come up better than expected and looks forward to seeing the hall reopen for use.
“The floor has come up absolutely great, very happy with the end result,” Mr Pitt said.
“You’ll be able to dance fantastically on it.”
