Brand new menu at the Grand Hotel
All meat and vegetables sourced locally
BIGGENDEN’S Grand Hotel now offers its patrons a new lunch and dinner menu seven days a week.
Hotel owner Maria Glen has been in Biggenden for nine months.
She said the Friday night buffet each week was popular.
“Once a month we change it to Chinese, seafood or Italian,” she said.
“We always have a weekly night special while Saturday night is chalkboard specials.”
Maria said the most asked-for menu item was their freshly made chicken schnitzel or parmigiana.
“We source all our meat and vegetables locally,” she said.
The Grand Hotel’s new restaurant can seat 120 people.
There is also a function/meeting room available.
Maria said it could be used for private functions or community meetings.
“We’ve even had a baby shower there,” she said.
The beer garden is well utilised with its barbecue facilities.
To add to the atmosphere the fire pit is lit at the weekend.
The Grand Hotel is a hive of activity of a Monday with bingo held at 10.30am.
It also has a TAB, Keno facilities and drive-through bottle shop.
If patrons are looking for some bargains just check the boards on the fence for the weekly specials.
If you want to catch up with your mates, happy hour is weekdays between 5pm-6pm while Jag the Joker is on Friday between 5pm-7pm.
Maria is able to cater for parties at home with food and alcohol. Just phone the Grand Hotel on 4127 1252.
If you wish to stay a while and enjoy Biggenden and its surrounds, Maria has accommodation for 15 upstairs.
