Countdown on for Wynnsday release

Central and North Burnett Times - - EASY EATING - VIEWS ON THE VINE peter.chapman@apn.com.au

LOVERS of great Coonawarra reds have only days to wait until the annualWynnsday collection is released.

Wynns’ best of the best series has become an annual favourite with wine connoisseurs.

Wynns tested the market with the six 2016 releases sending them through to wine critics throughout Australia last month.

The reviews have all been glowing which would certainly put their chief winemaker Sue Hodder at ease.

Sue is responsible for upholding the highest of reputations forWynnsday releases and it certainly must bring with it some sleepless nights.

I am predicting the 2013 Michael Shiraz and the 2013 John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon to be labelled two of the best to be released byWynns in the past decade.

While they are both priced at $149.99 the limited number available will ensure an early sell-out once they hit the shelves on Wednesday, August 3. A phone call toWynns cellar door may be the answer to avoid disappointment if you believe spending that much on a bottle of red is a good investment.
