Shoot­ers face chal­lenge

THERE was a strong turnout at Monto Ri­fle Club on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 30 for the club shoot.

The shoot took place over two 300-yard ranges and fea­tured 10 shoot­ers.

Con­di­tions were chal­leng­ing, with con­stantly chang­ing winds as well as the chang­ing mi­rage, but the shoot­ers rose to the chal­lenge for some im­pres­sive ef­forts.

Ray Watson scored the high­est, with a score of 56.4 in the first range and 63.3 in the sec­ond, for a to­tal of 119.7.

He was fol­lowed closely by Be­van Goschnick, who scored 56.1 and 61.3, to­talling 117.4

Doug Radel took third, with a score of 51.0 and 64.5, to equal 115.5

He was fol­lowed by Shane Fitz­patrick who scored 114.1, He­len Schimke on 113.4, Lind­say Bald­win on 112.6, Troy Pailthorpe on 108.2, Sue-Ellen Fitz­patrick on 100.1, Haille Pailthorpe on 98.2 and Cody Pailthorpe on 72.0.

The next Monto Ri­fle Club shoot is set to take place on Sun­day, Novem­ber 13, and will be over 500 yards.
