Shooters face challenge
THERE was a strong turnout at Monto Rifle Club on Sunday, October 30 for the club shoot.
The shoot took place over two 300-yard ranges and featured 10 shooters.
Conditions were challenging, with constantly changing winds as well as the changing mirage, but the shooters rose to the challenge for some impressive efforts.
Ray Watson scored the highest, with a score of 56.4 in the first range and 63.3 in the second, for a total of 119.7.
He was followed closely by Bevan Goschnick, who scored 56.1 and 61.3, totalling 117.4
Doug Radel took third, with a score of 51.0 and 64.5, to equal 115.5
He was followed by Shane Fitzpatrick who scored 114.1, Helen Schimke on 113.4, Lindsay Baldwin on 112.6, Troy Pailthorpe on 108.2, Sue-Ellen Fitzpatrick on 100.1, Haille Pailthorpe on 98.2 and Cody Pailthorpe on 72.0.
The next Monto Rifle Club shoot is set to take place on Sunday, November 13, and will be over 500 yards.
