CRICKET: The Gayndah Rebels managed to overcome an understrength Gayndah Wanderers team at the weekend.

Rebels player Greg Baker was forced from the field late in the day with an injury and had to be replaced.

“Just a bit of wear and tear injuries to the feet and knees,” Baker said.

“It was an okay game, the Wanderers were pretty under strength so we were expected to come away with the win.

“But they did score more runs then we thought they might.”

Baker was replaced by the team’s 12th man.

The Rebels also introduced their new look jerseys for the first time after changing up the design.

“There was no real inspiration for the design, they are similar to the junior jerseys,” Baker said.

“We have six main sponsors for the team who all help out with this stuff.”
