Golf club remembers Adrian
GOLF: THE second memorial event for Adrian Kummerfeld was held at Monto Golf Club on Sunday.
Forty players came out for the event for a veterans v non-veterans game, competing for trophies supplied by the Kummerfeld family.
Shane Kummerfeld, eldest son to the late club member, said his dad would have appreciated the gesture.
“The club was like his second home,” Kummerfeld said.
“Us kids grew up with this club; it was sand greens when we first came here and we watched it grow.”
Kummerfeld came up from Brisbane to attend the event; several other members of the family travelled specifically for the day.
Engraved mugs were presented to the winners, with Noela Wilkes and Warren Drahm winning for the veterans and non-veterans.
