NORTH Burnett Regional Councillor Paul Lobegeier has called on the council to formally say it is not corrupt. The move followed a development application being made to the council at a meeting in Mount Perry on November 16, with the developer scrawling his plan on a piece of paper and demanding for a decision then and there. “He asked us today whether we would be a corrupt council or not,” Cr Lobegeier said. “We are not a corrupt council. We should formally say it.” Deputy CEO David Wiskar said the council could not advise the man even if it wanted to, as all it was presented with was a hand-written letter and a mud map.
