Parish Fair a fun family day out
ST Therese’s annual Parish Fair will be held this Saturday in Monto.
The event, held every year close to Christmas, will raise money for the St Therese Parish.
Starting at 4pm Saturday November 26, the fair will be a fun day out for all the family.
For the second time in a row, it will take place on a Saturday rather than the traditional date of Friday.
Organiser Col List said the change in date was intended to make it easier for families to attend.
“We used to have them Friday nights, but decided to move it to a Saturday to give people more time to get there, after school,” Mr List said.
The fair will have outside stalls selling home-made wares including sweets, jams, plants and crocheted goods.
Entry is free, with revenue expected to come from the stalls, as well as a grocery raffle and a ham-wheel.
Christmas is the theme of the night, with a barbecue and a visit from Santa.
