GOLF: GAYNDAH Golf had an­other good round of player par­tic­i­pa­tion with 43 play­ers tak­ing part in the Tues­day and Thurs­day so­cial games and a fur­ther 10 play­ing in the sev­enth round of the Eclec­tic Sum­mer Cup.

Di Baker con­tin­ued her run of early form by win­ning the Tues­day vet­er­ans game with 27 points, edg­ing out her hus­band Lind­say Baker on 26 points.

Thurs­day was a close af­fair with Ja­son McCosker edg­ing out three run­ners-up, fin­ish­ing on 20 and a half points.

Vic Bryant, Me­gan Roth and Peter Ul­coq shared sec­ond place on 21 and a half points.

Round seven of the Eclec­tic Sum­mer Cup was played on Satur­day and won by Matt Zill­man with a nett score of 25 to re­tain sec­ond place in the stand­ings.

Un­for­tu­nately round eight, sched­uled for Sun­day, was can­celled due to heavy thun­der­storms in the area.

Jim My­ers con­tin­ues to lead in the Eclec­tic Sum­mer Cup by one shot.
