New wildlife funding
THE State Government has allocated more than $124,000 to four research projects to help safeguard Queensland’s many endangered species. Environment Minister Dr Steven Miles said two of the projects aimed to protect native animals from the threat of feral cats. It’s estimated there are about 1.5 million feral cats in Queensland.
