THE Queensland Local Government Reform Alliances Inc is undertaking a wide-ranging survey on ratepayers’ experiences following the amalgamation of councils in 2008.
The QLGRA is a state-wide organisation formed in 2013 and came about because of the forced amalgamations of councils throughout Queensland without any regard to the wishes of ratepayers and the refusal of governments to entertain any reasonable avenues of redress for dis-affected ratepayers.
In many cases a simple boundary change would be sufficient to satisfy many people.

The survey is scheduled to finish at the end of February. — Jack Muller, State Treasurer, QLGRA
