It’s time to pay your coun­cil rates again

NORTH Bur­nett ratepay­ers are ad­vised that the rate no­tices for the half year Jan­uary 1 to June 30, 2017 will be posted to ad­dresses as shown in the Land Record this week.

Ratepay­ers who do not re­ceived a rate no­tice are re­quested to ad­vise Rate staff by vis­it­ing their near­est of­fice of the North Bur­nett Re­gional Coun­cil or by call­ing 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC).

Dis­count of 10% ex­pires at 4pm on Fri­day, March 17.

No dis­count will be al­lowed af­ter this time.

Coun­cil will start charg­ing in­ter­est on over­due rates at the rate of 11% per an­num com­pounded on daily bal­ances from the day af­ter the close of the dis­count pe­riod.

Rates pay­ments can also be made via di­rect debit. Sim­ply com­plete a di­rect debit re­quest form avail­able at all Coun­cil Ad­min­is­tra­tion Of­fices, on coun­cil’s web­site, or can be mailed to you upon tele­phone re­quest. If you would like as­sis­tance to cal­cu­late a sug­gested di­rect debit pay­ment amount, please con­tact one of coun­cil’s rates of­fi­cers.

If you have re­cently changed your ad­dress please no­tify coun­cil of the change in writ­ing as soon as pos­si­ble.

No­ti­fi­ca­tion can be via email to ad­min@north­bur­nett.qld.gov.au, post – PO Box 390, Gayn­dah QLD 4625 or hand de­liv­ered to your lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion of­fice.

Coun­cil un­der­stands that from time to time ratepay­ers may ex­pe­ri­ence fi­nan­cial dif­fi­cul­ties. In such cir­cum­stances ratepay­ers are en­cour­aged to con­tact Coun­cil as soon as pos­si­ble to en­ter into an ac­cept­able pay­ment ar­range­ment.
