Top Country produces licks at top nutrition level

Central and North Burnett Times - - FOCUS ON RURAL BUSINESS - — JOHN COWEN, TOP COUNTRY, MUNDUBBERA

ON MY way around the area delivering feed to all of our clients it has been pleasing to see how great the cattle are holding up on Top Country products.

It’s not hard to tell the difference between the cattle that are being fed goodquality lick and the ones that aren’t.

Now that the dry is really taking hold I see some cattle that are very poor and could die if we don’t receive some decent rain shortly.

The cost of the loss of one cow would have fed 100 of her mates for a month.

Cattle cannot maintain condition or feed decent calves on salt urea and minerals alone.

Top Country has always produced dry licks at a top level of nutrition, and they include cottonseed meal, copra and other ingredients that help the cattle perform so much better in the dry.

Our Top Early Wean is a great product for any producers looking to wean a little early because of the dry.

It is a high-energy supplement for weaners between 100 to 200 kilos who haven’t had the best start for whatever reason. Call in to discuss your feeding needs. Top Country offers on-site consultation free of charge to anyone in the North and South Burnett regions.
