River views incredible
AT Auburn River National Park you have spectacular river flows over huge, salmon -coloured boulders. Have a look up along the cliff tops for the nesting peregrine falcons. The forest and waterholes are also great spots for bird-watching. A 600-metre walking track leads to a lookout far above the river. Optional is the 3.2km (return) walk along the top of the gorge above the river, which has incredible views. Another walking track you can take is the 1 1.5km5km riverbed and rock-pools hike which is a strenuous walk and should be done only by fit walkers.
