Looking at the future of agricultural technology investment
THE 400M AgTech Investment Forum is an event to inspire companies to think differently, expand on an idea, and explore commercial potential within agriculture.
The event is set to showcase 12 investor-ready projects, delve into the practical elements to commercialisation in Ag, highlight AgTech success stories and hear from leaders in the AgTech space.
Food Leaders Australia CEO Dr Ben Lyons is leading the event, with Landline presenter Pip Courtney as MC.
Leading speakers include executive director Andrew Kelly from BioPacific Partners, Industry Development Executive for Agribusiness Lavina Muscat from Telstra, CEO Christine Pitt from MLA Donor Company, CEO Mike Briers from Food Agility CRC, and many more.
As part of 400M, 12 pitches will be presented, and judged by a panel including Little Tokyo Two Director Jock Fairweather, Think Agri Managing Director Kate Burke and SproutX General Manager Sam Trethewey.
Dr Lyons said investors in the audience would be looking at the opportunity to get in on the early stages of these projects’ development.
“As one of Australia’s biggest regions for beef processing and value-adding, this conference is positioned for forward-looking farmers, innovators and developers,” Dr Lyons said.
“For attendees with ideas in the early stages, they will learn how to present their idea and see what investors are looking for and what the investment market is interested in.”
The event will be held on May 18 at the Armitage Centre, Empire Theatre.
