Day for rural women to connect in region
A WOMEN in Agriculture day is set to take place at the end of the month.
The aim is for rural women to connect with others and share and gather information for the whole community.
In partnership with the Burnett Mary Regional Group, BIEDO is hosting a series of days in the North Burnett, South Burnett and the Gympie region.
An event will be held on Saturday, April 29, in Mondure and no RSVPs are necessary.
Presentations will be made by several guest speakers, including Bob and Kerry Baldwin from the Murgon local ambulance committee, Carolyn Stone from SEQ AgForce, Ann McKenzie from BMRG Soil Health, and Alison Abbott from Workplace Health and Safety.
Free morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Other Women in Agriculture days will take place on Tuesday, May 10, at Eidsvold Community Hall, and on Saturday, June 10, at Kilkivan Town Hall.
Coffee will be provided from 8.30am and the event runs from 9am to 3pm.
