Day for ru­ral women to con­nect in re­gion

A WOMEN in Agri­cul­ture day is set to take place at the end of the month.

The aim is for ru­ral women to con­nect with oth­ers and share and gather in­for­ma­tion for the whole com­mu­nity.

In part­ner­ship with the Burnett Mary Re­gional Group, BIEDO is host­ing a se­ries of days in the North Burnett, South Burnett and the Gympie re­gion.

An event will be held on Satur­day, April 29, in Mon­dure and no RSVPs are nec­es­sary.

Pre­sen­ta­tions will be made by sev­eral guest speak­ers, in­clud­ing Bob and Kerry Bald­win from the Mur­gon local am­bu­lance com­mit­tee, Carolyn Stone from SEQ AgForce, Ann McKen­zie from BMRG Soil Health, and Ali­son Ab­bott from Work­place Health and Safety.

Free morn­ing tea and lunch will be pro­vided.

Other Women in Agri­cul­ture days will take place on Tues­day, May 10, at Eidsvold Com­mu­nity Hall, and on Satur­day, June 10, at Kilki­van Town Hall.

Cof­fee will be pro­vided from 8.30am and the event runs from 9am to 3pm.
