Prices re­bounded af­ter sub­stan­tial falls from Cy­clone Deb­bie moved through the North Burnett.

Buyer con­fi­dence was high at Monto’s fort­nightly Fat and Store Sale where 788 head were yarded. Cat­tle were drawn from Biloela, Dawes, Har­rami, Eidsvold, Cra­cow and Monto dis­tricts.

Heavy bulls sold from 240 to 280c/kg top­ping at $2590. MD Lout­tit sold 528kg bazadais-cross steers to 326c/kg or $1722. Paul VanClooster sold 538kg char­bray steers for 284c/kg or $1530.

Kacey San­der­son sold here­ford heifers 443kg for $1166 or 263c/kg. Hur­dle Gully Graz­ing’s drought­mas­ter trade heifers at 410kg sold for 301c/kg or $1235.

GD and VA Mur­ray sold 495kg brah­man cows for 250c/kg or $1240. LA Grav­ing’s bran­gus cows at 517kg re­turned $1269 or 245c/kg.

Ron Tal­bot sold drought­mas­ter-cross steers 486kg for 334c/kg or $1625. Tom Clarke’s 388kg droughtie steers made $1243 or 320c/kg. Birch Pas­toral sold a run of drought­mas­ter No.6 steers to av­er­age $1100 or 342c/kg. Ian McLaugh­lan sold drought­mas­ter No.6 steers 305kg for 359c/kg or $1095.

I& J Creed sold qual­ity an­gus weaner steers 244kg for 386c/kg or $942.

R and L Bly­ton’s Char­bray cross weaner steers sold for $962 or 376c/kg. RF and EE May sold mur­ray grey weaner steers for 412c/kg or $748. SA & PK Leahy sold a qual­ity run of santa No.5 and 6 heifers with the lead heifers at 378kg sell­ing to 305c/kg or $1153. The mid­dle weight run of heifers 303kg sold to 321c/kg or $976 and light heifers 253kg sold to 337c/kg or $854.

Coominglah Graz­ing sold 328kg brah­man-cross heifers for 310c/kg or $1017.

Nev and He­len Iversen sold drought­mas­ter heifers 325kg for 305c/kg or $990.

I and J Creed an­gus weaner heifers sold to 330c/kg or $737. Qld Pas­toral sold red brah­man weaner heifers 239kg for 319c/kg or $762.

R and L Bly­ton’s Char­bray­cross weaner heifers sold to $804 or 325c/kg. Monto’s next sale is the 2017 Char­bray In­fused Show Sale on Wed­nes­day, April 26. Other breeds are also wel­come.
