Fam­ily ap­pre­cia­tive of sup­port from the com­mu­nity

IT HAS been a very tough few weeks for the fam­ily of Phoenix McDon­ald in the wake of their fam­ily tragedy.

The Mount Perry com­mu­nity has been of­fer­ing its sup­port, with sev­eral events and fundrais­ers sched­uled that are aim­ing to raise about $2000.

Phoenix’s fam­ily are very ap­pre­cia­tive of the kind­ness shown and “would like to thank the love and sup­port, which will al­ways be re­mem­bered”.

Al­most $700 was raised in the Easter raf­fle and the wheel­bar­row raf­fle has raised $300 so far, with busi­nesses across the re­gion chip­ping in for prizes.

The com­mu­nity will con­tinue to sup­port the fam­ily through two up­com­ing fundrais­ers.

This com­ing Fri­day, April 28, the Mount Perry Ho­tel will be host­ing four bands, start­ing about 6pm.

The bands will play a mix of songs, with pro­ceeds go­ing to the fam­ily.

The night will in­volve good food, mu­sic and danc­ing.

Ev­ery­one from the com­mu­nity is wel­come to at­tend.

On May 20, the Mount Perry Ho­tel will host a Juke­box event, with pro­ceeds go­ing to the McDon­alds.

Tick­ets cost $10 with a per­for­mance by MEGGA. The event will start at 7pm.
