Market stalls, canteen, barbecue and food stalls, face painting, cow pad bingo, mini golf, knockems, souvenirs, vintage and collector cars, live entertainment, fashion parade. 29-30 THE MONTO SHOW will be held across two days at the Monto show grounds with the Brahman feature show on Saturday April 29 from 8am. The all-day horse and jumping events will also take place. From 9am the more entertainment orientated events start with a dry work horse challenge, wood chopping and chainsaw races and prime cattle judging. The horse events will wrap up at 5:30pm. On Sunday morning starting at 7am the campdrafting will take place with a modest draft of around 60 horses. The rest of the day will feature the barrel race, horse sports and stud cattle judging from 8am and a ute muster from 10am. 29 MONTO RURAL TRADERS YOUNG FARMERS CHALLENGE 6.30pm at the main arena. $300 prize for the winner, $200 runner-up. Part of the Monto Show. 29 EIDSVOLD SHOW SOCIETY is planning a great evening to celebrate the wonderful community. Organised a “Hollywood - A Night with the Stars.” Great evening expected with entertainment, dinner and dancing. Taking place on the night is the judging for the Miss Showgirl and Rural Ambassador with a night of dancing and good music planned for the rest of the evening. This is not a night to miss and everyone is encouraged to come along and have fun. Tickets are $40. It starts at 6pm at the Eidsvold Town Hall. 30 HORSE SPORTS DAY 10.30am to start on the competition of the junior barrel races. Stockhorse Race, Bending Race, Flag Race, Mug Race and Monto Medley. Age groups under 8s, under 13s, under 17s and 18 overs.
