Chilly weather is on the way for the North Burnett region

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS -

WITH winter just around the corner, a cooler change is coming to the North Burnett.

Temperatures dropped to seven degrees in Mundubbera last week, and similar readings have been recorded elsewhere across the region.

Bureau of Meteorologist Adam Blazak said the cooler weather should not alarm people.

“We’ve had a fair bit of moisture pushing from the coast, temperatures shouldn’t be as cold as expected,” Mr Blazak said.

“Coming into winter we should expect to see single figures at night, we still have a southerly outflow but progressively should be cooler as the day goes by.”

Mr Blazak said the night time conditions this weekend would be pleasant, with daytime temperatures remaining around the 25-26 degree mark. A minimum of 14 degrees is expected in Eidsvold and Gayndah today, with a minimum of 13 tomorrow.
