Teeing off for golf comp
GOLF: Len Weier has taken out both the end-of-monthly competition and the C-Grade Monthly Medal at the Mundubbera Golf Club with a score of 93, nett 65.
Club president Graham Carlyon said the competition was a close one.
“It’s always a good game, we had some runner-ups with Peter Hunsley and Col Cluff from different grades,” Mr Carlyon said.
“Sometimes you can play well, and other times it’s a bugger of a sport, you can never tell beforehand.”
“Our competition is thriving and we love it, wouldn’t be anywhere else but the golf course.”
Peter Hunsley (69) won the A-Grade monthly medal, and Col Cluff (67) won the BGrade monthly medal.
Ball winners went to Jake O’Driscoll with a nett score of 68, Col Cluff 67, and Alan Potter 68. Winning the
putting competition was Stephen Zipf with 23 putts.
Closest to the pin was David Zipf on hole 4, Peter Hunsley on 5, and Len Weier on 9. Gayle Bennett won the ladies competition and Second Grade monthly medal with 72 nett. Putting competition winners were Lyn Carlyon, Sue Maskovitch and Daphne Williams with 31 putts each.
Accurate shots went to Gayle Bennett on five, Lorraine Lindenmayer second to six, and Lyn Carlyon second to nine.
