Firearms safety course

SHOOT­ING: THE Bur­nett River Pis­tol Club is run­ning a course in Firearms Safety this Satur­day for a cost of $150, in­clud­ing lunch.

This li­cense through the Queens­land Train­ing Cen­tre is nec­es­sary for a per­son wish­ing to ap­ply for a firearms li­cense.

The Gayn­dah course is re­laxed and friendly, with plenty of time to com­plete both the the­ory and prac­ti­cal parts. In­ex­pe­ri­enced peo­ple are wel­come and will get plenty of one-on-one sup­port.

A sim­i­lar course will be held by the Biggen­den Ri­fle Club on Satur­day, July 1 from 8.30am to noon. Cost is $130 and for ju­niors $110.

On a safety note, please wear en­closed shoes.

The club has safety glasses, ear muffs and ear plugs avail­able. If you have your own gear, you can try it out.
