Stockmen’s challenge, poultry, rides and slides, dog show, pig racing, pony club events, Simon Shazam the magician, tug-of-war, belly dancers, fireworks, heavy horses, stud cattle, woodchop, Beaut Ute judging, horse events, grand parade, food stalls, canteen and bar, pavilion. STARTS from 4pm at the Peter Dunn Oval in Gayndah. The Mundubbera Tigers will take on the Biggenden Warriors in the opening game. The Gayndah Gladiators and Eidsvold Eagles clash at 6pm. Bar and canteen are available. Normal entry remains at $5 and under 18s are free. MUNDUBBERA GOLF CARNIVAL

IT’S the golf carnival this Sunday. Those wanting to play have to be a financial member of any golf club and must have a current GA handicap. Two tee-off times, the first at 7am and the second at noon. Nominations have to be made by Thursday afternoon if you are wishing to have a game. The $25 fee includes lunch and the 18-hole competition. SATURDAY, MAY 20 PERMACULTURE REALFOOD CHEESE WORKSHOP
ELISABETH Fekonia of Black Mountain, Sunshine Coast, is coming to Monto on May 20 to teach the science of fermenting foods, in two workshops running from 9am-noon. Participants receive handouts, sourdough starter and bread dough.
