Stock­men’s chal­lenge, poul­try, rides and slides, dog show, pig rac­ing, pony club events, Si­mon Shazam the ma­gi­cian, tug-of-war, belly dancers, fire­works, heavy horses, stud cat­tle, wood­chop, Beaut Ute judg­ing, horse events, grand pa­rade, food stalls, can­teen and bar, pavil­ion. STARTS from 4pm at the Peter Dunn Oval in Gayn­dah. The Mun­dub­bera Tigers will take on the Biggen­den War­riors in the open­ing game. The Gayn­dah Gla­di­a­tors and Eidsvold Ea­gles clash at 6pm. SUN­DAY, MAY 21

IT’S the golf car­ni­val this Sun­day. Those want­ing to play have to be a fi­nan­cial mem­ber of any golf club and must have a cur­rent GA hand­i­cap. Two tee-off times, the first at 7am and the sec­ond at noon. Nom­i­na­tions have to be made by Thurs­day af­ter­noon if you are wish­ing to have a game. The $25 fee in­cludes lunch and the 18-hole com­pe­ti­tion. SATUR­DAY, MAY 20 PER­MA­CUL­TURE RE­AL­FOOD CHEESE WORK­SHOP

ELIS­A­BETH Feko­nia of Black Moun­tain, Sun­shine Coast, is com­ing to Monto on May 20 to teach the sci­ence of fer­ment­ing foods, in two work­shops run­ning from 9am-noon. Par­tic­i­pants re­ceive hand­outs, sour­dough starter and bread dough.

MONTO GAR­DEN­ING SATUR­DAY, MAY 20

AT THE Gar­den, Monto Land­care build­ing, starts at 9am. Come on down for some weed­ing and story-shar­ing. Tea and cof­fee fa­cil­i­ties avail­able.
