Students from Isis District High, Burnett State College, Eidsvold and Munduberra travelled to Monto on Thursday to compete in the Rugby League and Netball Gala Day. The event was an opportunity for students from District schools to not only participate in a School based competition, but also to develop skills in the specific sporting fields. The Central Queensland NRL Development Team, led by Mr Mitch Sargent, conducted the round robin style competition on the day. They also provided training and skill development for the students involved in the rugby league games. The netball competition, followed the round robin game format, and was strongly supported by staff and parents from Monto State High and Monto Netball Club. A hugely successful day of sport competitions and further opportunities for our students to develop game level skills in the chosen sports. Thank you to all staff and parents involved in making the day a success.
