Bur­nett pre­pares for In­trust com­pe­ti­tion

RUGBY LEAGUE: The In­trust Su­per Cup is tak­ing place in less than seven weeks and prepa­ra­tion is un­der way to en­sure it comes off as a suc­cess in Mun­dub­bera.

The Su­per Cup com­mit­tee, along with rugby league sup­port­ers, is busy del­e­gat­ing roles and tasks at fort­nightly meet­ings.

The In­trust Su­per Cup lands in re­gional Queens­land as part of Coun­try Week on July 22-23.

Around 400 spec­ta­tors and play­ers are pre­dicted to turn out for the match held in Mun­dub­bera.

The match, be­tween the East Tigers and North Devils, will be tele­vised on Chan­nel 9.

Sports Min­is­ter Michael de Brenni said he was pleased to see it held in the re­gion.

“I’m proud that our govern­ment will con­tinue to sup­port the Queens­land Rugby League’s In­trust Su­per Cup Coun­try Week ini­tia­tive with a three-year spon­sor­ship com­mit­ment,” de Brenni said.

Pres­i­dent of Mun­dub­bera Tigers Cameron MacDon­ald was pleased.

“It’s great to have the In­trust in Mun­dub­bera, we’re all pleased to be part of it,” MacDon­ald said.
