Fam­ily tax ben­e­fits will be frozen for two years. Fam­i­lies earn­ing less than $65,000 will have 85% of their child care bills paid.

Par­ents will have to work, vol­un­teer or study for at least eight hours a fort­night.

Those earn­ing be­tween $65,710 to $170,710 will be ap­prox­i­mately $1500 bet­ter off.

Cur­rent child care re­bates to be scrapped by 2018.
