FES­TI­VAL OF­FERS A TASTE OF NORTH BUR­NETT

THE Heart­land Fes­ti­val is on again this week­end with a ma­jor theme of ev­ery­thing great from the North Bur­nett, in­clud­ing fresh pro­duce.

My Kitchen Rules win­ners Dan and Steph Mul­heron will again be bring­ing their skills to the North Bur­nett by pro­vid­ing dine-in plat­ters.

Mr and Mrs Mul­heron will also pro­vide signed copies of their cook­books, up for a raf­fle at the Art from the Heart ex­hi­bi­tion.

The art, wine and cheese evening is on Fri­day, June 30 from 7pm at the Gayn­dah Art and Cul­tural Cen­tre with tick­ets cost­ing $35 per per­son.

Three bars will be set up around the venue with more food to cel­e­brate lo­cal pro­duce.

Gayn­dah artist Rhanni McCosker will also be at the event cre­at­ing a new piece of art, giv­ing visi­tors a chance to see her work in progress.

Artist Mar­lies Oak­ley will have art on dis­play with an ex­hi­bi­tion en­ti­tled Noth­ing New.

Mr and Mrs Mul­heron won’t be the only vis­it­ing celebrity chefs, with Matt Golin­ski also head­ing to the North Bur­nett.

Mr Golin­ski will be on the Ber­ries to Beef bus tour on Sun­day, July 2 where he will get a first hand look and taste of the pro­duce com­ing out of the North Bur­nett.

The Ber­ries to Beef Bus Tour is tak­ing place on Sun­day, July 2 from 9am un­til 4pm de­part­ing Gayn­dah.

Tick­ets are $90 per per­son. This bus tour is a chance to taste and be ed­u­cated about some of the best pro­duce on the mar­ket and hear straight from the grow­ers, farm­ers and pro­duc­ers, in­clud­ing a pre­sen­ta­tion from the own­ers of Jer­akala Beef.

The mar­ket day will be run­ning from 10am un­til 4pm on Satur­day, July 1 with ev­ery­one encouraged to come down and see ev­ery­thing the North Bur­nett has to of­fer.

En­try into the Heart­land Fes­ti­val Mar­ket Day is a gold coin dona­tion at the gate.

The Rail­way Her­itage break­fast of­fers a unique set­ting and will be on Sun­day, July 2 from 7am at the Gayn­dah Rail­way Sta­tion.
