Eidsvold kinder­garten re­ceives fi­nan­cial boost

EIDSVOLD and Theodore Kinder­gartens re­ceived a fi­nan­cial boost thanks to the State Gov­ern­ment.

Ed­u­ca­tion Min­is­ter Kate Jones said Eidsvold Kinder­garten would re­ceive $2541 and Theodore Early Child­hood As­so­ci­a­tion would re­ceive $39,289 through the State Gov­ern­ment Early Years’ Small As­sets grants pro­gram.

“Our lo­cal early years’ ser­vices do an in­cred­i­ble job sup­port­ing young chil­dren in the vi­tal start­ing years of their ed­u­ca­tion,” Ms Jones said.

“Eidsvold Kinder­garten and Theodore Early Child­hood As­so­ci­a­tion will use the fund­ing to pur­chase and up­date out­door equip­ment and re­sources to en­cour­age out­door par­tic­i­pa­tion.

“Through this round, $1.5 mil­lion in fund­ing has been made avail­able to 61 early years’ ser­vices to help fund ve­hi­cles to help fam­i­lies ac­cess ser­vices, ed­u­ca­tional toys, books and com­put­ers, play­ground equip­ment, shade sails, or room re­fur­bish­ments and kitchen up­grades.”

The State Gov­ern­ment con­tin­ues to sup­port lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties.
