Council changes its focus

Central and North Burnett Times - - NEWS -

THE North Burnett Regional Council has thanked residents who voiced their opinion on the changes to the corporate plan.

The corporate plan holds to account what the council aims to do in the next five years.

Chief executive officer Mark Pitt said the focus would turn to parks and gardens ahead of last year’s goal which was all about roads and infrastructure.

“We’ve now adopted the new corporate plan which is a key document that allows for the council to know what they need to do,” Mr Pitt said.

“We really appreciated the feedback by the community and have taken it on board for what our council would like to strive.

“Residents will start to see some changes in our operations; such as a change of focus and we’re moving into a review of the current service levels.”

These changes will commence straight away.
