RUGBY LEAGUE: The Mundubbera Tigers go head to head against the formidable Gayndah Gladiators as part of the Intrust Super Cup curtain raiser on July 23.

The Gladiators are undefeated this season and keep putting on big points with each team they play.

Mundubbera Tigers president Cameron MacDonald said his side would be working hard to break Gayndah’s defence.

“We’re as prepared as we can be at the moment but, as you know, Gayndah are a very good team and we will try our best to come up with

a win,” MacDonald said.

“We haven’t been able to field a strong side this season unfortunately, we just haven’t had the chance.”

The closest the Tigers got to winning was at the Citrus Cup.

“Since the Citrus Cup we haven’t had much of a chance, but we did have a close game but unfortunately couldn’t win it,” MacDonald said.

MacDonald said he hoped for a large crowd.

“We’d like to think we can beat the 1000 benchmark and anything over that is a bonus, but it’d be good for the boys to play in front of a large crowd with cheers from the spectators,” he said.
