Catch a Catty at Mingo

FISH­ING: The Catch a Catty Fam­ily Fish­ing com­pe­ti­tion is on again at Mingo Cross­ing.

Sit­u­ated on the Bur­nett River, the comp will be held on Au­gust 26 and 27.

With more than $10,000 in cash and prizes, the com­pe­ti­tion hours are 5am to 5pm on the Satur­day and 5am to 10.30am on the Sun­day.

There are prizes ga­lore in­clud­ing $1000 for the long­est barramundi along with the heav­i­est cat­fish and spe­cific species with prizes for both adults and ju­niors.

There will also be lucky draws and raf­fles.

Regis­tra­tions re­ceived by Au­gust 21 will go into the early bird draw for $100. Nom­i­na­tions are se­nior $25, ju­nior (15yrs and un­der) $5 and fam­ily (two adults and two ju­niors) $50.
