Good Samaritans pack a little help away
THE Samaritan Purse Shoebox appeal was held in Mundubbera, with 14 ladies travelling from Murgon to help the less fortunate.
The ladies packed 28 shoeboxes with supplies, that will go towards providing emergency relief and assistance to children suffering around the world.
Sue Lederhose, one of the organisers for the day, said children could each receive one box of supplies.
“Children only ever receive one shoebox in their lifetime because the need is so great,” she said.
“The shoebox ministry is only a small part of it – it’s a soft approach into a community to improve health, education and agricultural practices.”
