Ro­tary an­nounces new line-up for year

THE Mundubbera Ro­tary club wel­comed their new lead­ers in style with a din­ner on July 19.

The com­mit­tee has helped out with nu­mer­ous events this year in­clud­ing the foot­ball grand fi­nal, Mundubbera res­i­dent Gavin Ford’s book launch, and most re­cently the In­trust Su­per Cup.

Ac­cord­ing to the pres­i­dent’s re­port the Mundubbera State School re­ceived $720 that went to­wards read­ing books for young chil­dren who may not be able to ac­cess them.

A fur­ther $1300 went to­wards Ro­tary In­ter­na­tional for World Wide projects - End Po­lio Now.

The club’s big­gest suc­cess was the build­ing of the new shel­ter shed over­look­ing the Mundubbera weir, cost­ing around $17,000.

The club would like to thank its past mem­bers and wel­come the 2017-2018 mem­bers, Peter Hun­sley, Gavin Ford, Al­ley Jenkin, Mal Wal­lis, Craig Robert­son, Tim Dug­gan, Paul Berthelsen and Ash­ley Does­sel.

Pres­i­dent Mark Robert­son’s aim for this year is to work on in­creas­ing mem­bers and to con­tinue the work and help out at the river­side parks.
