No plans yet for show grant

MONTO Show Society was among several show societies to be a beneficiary of the Palaszczuk Government’s Show Societies Grants Program, receiving $8194.

President Amanda Goody said excitement had not really started to build about the grant as the next show was a while off.

“The society uses this money to help fund the free entertainment at the show. Last year it went towards the magician, Luke’s Reptiles and the petting zoo,” Mrs Goody said.

“It allows us to provide the patrons with attractions that we would be unable to afford otherwise.”

The show society will meet tonight, but the funding won’t be on the agenda.
