5 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK...
■ QCWA COMPETITION DAY IN BIGGENDEN ON AUGUST 10 ENTRIES close for knitting, crochet, floral art and cookery sections at 9am at Biggenden QCWA rooms.
All entries in every class are open to everyone, entry fee $1. Morning tea and judging at 9.30am. Free admission and raffle. Most unusual object to be judged by most popular vote.
■ CHRISTIAN WOMEN COMMUNICATING INTERNATIONAL (CWCI) ON AUGUST 10 STARTS at 10am and runs until 12pm at 78 Lyons St, Mundubbera. Everyone is invited to attend.
■ EIDSVOLD BOWLS CLUB DINNER ON AUGUST 11
COME and hang out with members from the community with a home made meal from 6pm onwards. It’s important that you RSVP your interest to Dianne Wilson on 0410 334 396 by Thursday night so they know how many people to cater for. It costs $22 and it includes a buffet.
■ HORSE AND PONY CLUB GYMKHANA IN GAYNDAH ON AUGUST 12
CONTACT Michelle or Emma to nominate or for any queries. The club would love for as many of the club members to attend if possible. A chance to show the district how great our kids are. It’s held at the Gayndah showgrounds starting from 9am until 4pm.
■ RUGBY LEAGUE SEMI FINALS ON AUGUST 12 THE Mundubbera Tigers and the Biggenden Warriors will clash for the final time this year in hope that one team will be able to triumph to go straight to the grand finals. After last weekend’s match against the Gladiators, the Tigers will host the warriors at their home turf with the game starting at 5pm.
Whoever wins this match will play the Gladiators on Saturday July 19. The bar and canteen will be available for all supporters in the afternoon. Come down to Archer Park and support your team this weekend.
