■ QCWA COM­PE­TI­TION DAY IN BIGGENDEN ON AU­GUST 10 EN­TRIES close for knit­ting, cro­chet, flo­ral art and cook­ery sec­tions at 9am at Biggenden QCWA rooms.

All en­tries in every class are open to ev­ery­one, en­try fee $1. Morn­ing tea and judg­ing at 9.30am. Free ad­mis­sion and raf­fle. Most un­usual ob­ject to be judged by most pop­u­lar vote.

■ CHRIS­TIAN WOMEN COM­MU­NI­CAT­ING IN­TER­NA­TIONAL (CWCI) ON AU­GUST 10 STARTS at 10am and runs un­til 12pm at 78 Lyons St, Mun­dub­bera. Ev­ery­one is in­vited to at­tend.

■ EIDSVOLD BOWLS CLUB DIN­NER ON AU­GUST 11

COME and hang out with mem­bers from the com­mu­nity with a home made meal from 6pm on­wards. It’s im­por­tant that you RSVP your in­ter­est to Dianne Wil­son on 0410 334 396 by Thurs­day night so they know how many peo­ple to cater for. It costs $22 and it in­cludes a buf­fet.

■ HORSE AND PONY CLUB GYMKHANA IN GAYNDAH ON AU­GUST 12

CON­TACT Michelle or Emma to nom­i­nate or for any queries. The club would love for as many of the club mem­bers to at­tend if pos­si­ble. A chance to show the district how great our kids are. It’s held at the Gayndah show­grounds start­ing from 9am un­til 4pm.

■ RUGBY LEAGUE SEMI FI­NALS ON AU­GUST 12 THE Mun­dub­bera Tigers and the Biggenden War­riors will clash for the fi­nal time this year in hope that one team will be able to tri­umph to go straight to the grand fi­nals. Af­ter last week­end’s match against the Glad­i­a­tors, the Tigers will host the war­riors at their home turf with the game start­ing at 5pm.

Who­ever wins this match will play the Glad­i­a­tors on Satur­day July 19. The bar and can­teen will be avail­able for all sup­port­ers in the af­ter­noon. Come down to Archer Park and sup­port your team this week­end.
