Eco­nomic growth is on agenda in Mary­bor­ough

THE North Bur­nett’s achieve­ments will be on dis­play dur­ing the fourth an­nual Wide Bay Bur­nett re­gional eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment growth fo­rum to be held in Mary­bor­ough this Novem­ber.

North Bur­nett Re­gional Coun­cil mayor Rachel Cham­bers said she looked for­ward to pitch­ing ideas for the Bur­nett re­gion dur­ing the fo­rum.

“This will be the fourth fo­rum I’ve attended and only the sec­ond as mayor. Each year I’ve learnt valu­able in­for­ma­tion from busi­ness and in­dus­try peers and it has also been an event where pre­vi­ously unan­nounced emerg­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties have been shared with the au­di­ence,” Cr Cham­bers said.

“This year in­no­va­tion is ex­pected to play a big part in dis­cus­sions with the abil­ity to think dif­fer­ently now re­quired more than ever for busi­ness and in­dus­try suc­cess.”

The free fo­rum, to be held on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 9 from 9.30am to 3pm in­cludes a free net­work­ing lunch.
