MORE than 50 people took part in Boynewood State School’s bingo night at the weekend.

The children enjoyed the anticipation and excitement of bingo with their parents.

P&C president Boyd Paton said he was amazed by how many people showed their support to the school for its annual bingo night.

“The night was a great success,” he said.

“We were blown away with the support shown by our local community and due to this support, we had very happy winners.”

The school holds several fundraisers throughout the year, which go towards helping the community.

“We have two major fundraising days each year, the bingo night and the seven-a-side cricket which is coming up on October 14,” Mr Paton said.

P&C committee secretary Emma Muirhead thanked those who attended.

“Mundubbera is an amazing town and the community support is superb, as shown to us with the donations we received for bingo and to continue on for cricket day raffles and prizes,” she said.
