Chin­chilla Probus group en­joys four-day camp in Mun­dub­bera

THEY’RE vis­i­tors to the North Bur­nett and ev­ery year Probus mem­bers from Chin­chilla en­joy a trip to the re­gion, with this year’s visit tak­ing in the sights of Mun­dub­bera and Eidsvold.

Probus is an as­so­ci­a­tion of re­tired and semi-re­tired peo­ple that was formed to help, ad­vise, as­sist, co-or­di­nate and ini­ti­ate ac­tiv­i­ties and giv­ing mem­bers a pur­pose.

Pres­i­dent Jenny Wood said ev­ery­one en­joyed them­selves last week.

“Last week old time res­i­dents of Reids Creek, John and Elaine Rack­e­mann ac­com­pa­nied by 37 mem­bers of the Chin­chilla Probus Club en­joyed a four-day visit to Mun­dub­bera. The trip was or­gan­ised by Rob Dal­gleish and John Rack­e­mann,” Mrs Wood said.

“We vis­ited the RM Wil­liams Cen­tre in Eidsvold, Slack’s Sawmill, Smart Berries and Joey’s Or­chard to see the new grad­ing sys­tem op­er­at­ing.”

The group also re­marked on the great job the Mun­dub­bera Ro­tary was do­ing with beau­ti­fy­ing the area along the Bur­nett river.

“All mem­bers at­tended a mixed Ro­tary din­ner meet­ing,” she said.

“We were very im­pressed with Mun­dub­bera, the friend­li­ness of the peo­ple and the di­ver­sity of the area.”
