Giving correct food to babies

Central and North Burnett Times - - YOUR SAY -

ARE you worried about how you can know when your baby is ready for solid foods or whether you have waited too long to introduce them?

Every baby is different, but you should start looking for signs that your baby is ready at around six months.

This is around the time when your baby’s iron stores, which they’ve gained from the womb, will start to decrease and they will need to replace them with iron and nutrients that are provided by solid foods.

As always, if you have further questions about this or any other health issue for your child please chat to your GP or visit our WBHHS child health team at one of our centres.
