Fes­ti­val looks bloomin’ great

THE Biggen­den Apex Rose Fes­ti­val – on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20 – is be­ing pro­moted as a fam­i­lyfriendly event with lots of en­ter­tain­ment for young and old and a broad va­ri­ety of food.

The com­mit­tee has been able to ac­cess some great acts not seen in Biggen­den be­fore. They in­clude:

SNAKE BOSS REP­TILE SHOW: Bris­bane snake catcher Julie Baker – the star of An­i­mal Planet’s high­est-rat­ing TV series, Snake Boss – will be at the Rose Fes­ti­val. You can meet some of her favourite rep­tiles and learn more about these cool crit­ters. Snake Boss will be lo­cated near Jeni’s Trea­sures from 2pm.

KIDS’ MAGIC SHOW: Ma­gi­cian Glen Rhode is bring­ing a fab­u­lous magic show that is a roller-coaster of fun and laugh­ter, and highly in­ter­ac­tive with lots of au­di­ence par­tic­i­pa­tion. Bring the chil­dren along to see his amaz­ing magic show un­der the awning at An­mols Cui­sine.

PONIES AND MO­BILE AN­I­MAL FARM: What child, young or old, doesn’t en­joy an­i­mals? You can find the 3 Ponies Pet­ting Farm from 2pm on the va­cant block be­tween Bur­nett Live­stock & Re­alty and An­mols Cui­sine. There will be ponies, an an­i­mal farm and a jump­ing cas­tle, so don’t miss out!

WIDE BAY LASER SKIR­MISH: Take your game to the next level. You will be able to play out­door laser tag, sup­ported by qual­i­fied staff. Games start at 2pm in an area at the Biggen­den Men’s Shed. Laser tag is one of the coolest and safest recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties, a non-con­tact sport played world­wide. Are you up for the chal­lenge?

BIG SCREEN: Bring your

chair and sit back to watch all the high­lights of past fes­ti­vals on the big screen. It will bee set up on the va­cant block be­tween Bur­nett Live­stock & Re­alty and An­mols Cui­sine.


SLITHER ALONG: Bris­bane snake catcher Ju­lia Baker, the star of An­i­mal Planet’s Snake Boss, will be at the Biggen­den Apex Rose Fes­ti­val.
