MORE than 1500 head of cat­tle trav­elled from across the coun­try to be part of the com­pe­ti­tion at the Bris­bane Ekka last week.

The santa gertrudis breed show­cased the most stud cat­tle again this year.

The Bass­ing­waighte fam­ily of western Queens­land took home a swag of rib­bons across all cat­e­gories in­clud­ing their bull Yar­ra­wonga Fixer, who took out grand cham­pion bull and cham­pion of cham­pi­ons bull.
